Why can't I Log In?

We recently upgraded our retail software on 4/25/2016. Customer accounts created before this time are no longer directly acessible through the site. Those customers will need to create a new account.

If you have lost or forgotten your login information, you can use the links at the login screen to recover them, or, failing that, contact us through the contact form.

For customers who have both regular and wholesale accounts, you will not be able to log into both at the same time. In some instances, it may be necessary to clear your browser cache to log into the second account. If your browser supports an annonymous browsing mode, this often will allow you to login as well.

I need information about an old order!

We have archived all orders made prior to the site upgrade, and upon request we can retrieve that data for you.

When will [super awesome product] be available?

We do our best to keep everything in stock, but it isn't always possible. If what you are looking for isn't available at the moment, there will be a link on the item page to allow users to signup for email notifications when the item is again in stock. 

I just placed an order, how long until it ships?

Most in-stock items will ship within 1 business day of the order being placed. Custom or made to order items, or items for which you have requested additional service on (leads soldering, waterproofing, etc), may take an additional 1-2 days. If an item requires longer turn around times, the usual ship times will be indicated on the item page. 

Can you report a lower value on the customs declaration?

No.

In ALL cases, customs and/or import taxes are the responsibility of the purchaser. Holmes Hobbies declares the exact quantity and value of all items shipped internationally, and under no circumstances will alter that amount. We understand that very often these import charges may be quite high. We will not respond to requests to alter customs declarations.
